WonderMe: The Job Site That Evaluates The Ability and Experience of A Person.

Thailand’s economy has been pretty awful for the past couple of years due to the all of the political unrests. Even so, the country still continuous to stay strong. Its GDP is currently at $365 billion, which is higher that that of the Philippines and Malaysia. The country’s unemployment rate is only at 0.67 percent.


Although looking at the other side of the fence, Thailand’s job market can be quite competitive and employers find it difficult to hire the correct talent. Thailand-based startup WonderMe has made it their main objective in solving this troublesome problem.

The job matching web application makes a connection with new graduates who have the qualification for the right job and company based on what it calls ‘cultural fit’. Job seekers can discover more about themselves through WonderMe’s personality test, job fit test, and skills test, where have become designed and tested with real employers and Master’s degree students from faculty of psychology Chulalongkorn University.

“Our test are based on famous personality models but adapted to fit today’s Asian world,” says Parote (Jay) Denskoon, WonderMe’s CEO and Co-Founder.

Jobe seekers can try to find a job that they believe would fit them best through an “Intelligent Recruitment System: that will match job seekers with various companies based in Thailand and the rest of Asia.


The startup blieves that traditional resumes don’t provide enough information about job seekers. In order to fix this issue, WonderMe provides online profiles and portfolio building on the website to showcase themselves and allow companies to have a better way at evaluating the true capability and experience of that person.

Regardless, It’s not a one-sided deal. Companies can also create their own profile page and conduct an internal test to discover rtheir business culture and communicate with potential job seekers through the site. The startup believes that will help out companies on saving time and money in recruiting because of its algorithm can suggest the best candidate to them, and companies can view the candidates’s personality, skills, expertise, and experience.

The site features “WonderPoint System” which allows the job seeker to accumulate points based on the activities down on the site. Users can expend points by applying for a job, Jay explains the method behind this system:

Since we believe that there are just a few “right” jobs for each person, job seekers have to wisely spend these points to apply for jobs. [We do this] in order to prevent job seekers from spreading their resumes as seen in other job board sites, which results in company HR having a headache in screening those who don’t actually fit with the role.
