Lazada Rolls Out a Brand New App For Its Singaporean Consumers.

E-commerce giant Lazada has recently launched its new mobile application within Singapore recently. The application is available for both the Android and iOS platforms.


Lazada’s Singaporean traffic mainly consist from mobile users, with them making up 60% of the pie, one of the largest shares among the six market it operates in, and the latest application is expected to thrust it growth even further.

Managing Director of Lazada Singapore, Martell Hardenberg comments, “We are delighted to launch the Lazada app in Singapore. Lazada apps have already been very successful in other markets across Southeast Asia and we expect to see this success replicated in Singapore. We are seeing rapid growth of m-commerce in Singapore, as Singaporeans increasingly shirk traditional brick and mortar retailers and look to more convenient and effortless ways to shop.”


This new application designed to deliver and enhanced user experience for customers, offering fluid navigation of Lazada’s product range, different viewing modes to see products in detail, multiple sorting filters in order to arrange products by size, color, brand and price, along with multiple language options, according to an official note.

Users will also receive push notification for new items and flash sales. Customers are capable of making payments through multiple option such as, credit cards, cash on delivery and though PayPal.

As part of the application launch, a promotion is being held for the the duration of the entire week, during which users will be able to gained S$10  ($8) off their purchases.

With mobile application also is Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam, Philippines and Thailand, Lazada’s Android application has been downloaded 1.3 million times since June 2013, whilst the iOS application has been downloaded 700,000 times since its launch in January 2014.
