Korea Most Popular Sport, Curling Is Now Available Available For Mobiles.
Gyeonggi-do has recently released a curling-themed mobile game application, one of the most populous provinces in South Korea during June 10th. This curling game is fired up in popularity nationwide during the latest Winter Olympics held in Sochi.
With its main objective to promote the organization advanced in policy planning, and gaining the attention of the public to become more interested in curling sport, Gyeonggi province was working on developing the ” chess on ice” game available for smartphones. At the moment, the province i sponsored by a women’s Curling team, who played in the Olympics as a national team.
Similar to the actual curling game, in which players have to slide stones on a sheet of ice towards a target area which is segmented in to four concentric rings, the mobile sports game has been designed to embody actual curling game and its rules but it also includes a couple of “fun” elements.
Similar to that of a three cushion billiards game, the online curling game has allowed user o harness a “cushion effect” utilizing a wall on the game screen, Including a bit of extra fun by placing up a wall on the sides of the lane which players could use to bounc off a curling ball, is if they were playing pool.
Players can change the direction of the stone from either left to right or right to left, and vice versa utilizing some touch-friendly drags, when user speed up their sweeping, the pace of the sliding stone increases accordingly.
Curling Game Rules and History
Two teams, each of four players, take turns sliding heavy, polished granite stones, also called rocks, across the ice curling sheet towards the house, a circular target marked on the ice. Each team has eight stones.
The purpose is to accumulate the highest score for a game; points are scored for the stones resting closest to the centre of the house at the conclusion of each end, which is completed when both teams have thrown all of their stones. A game may consist of ten or eight ends.
