Japan’s Video Editing App Mixchannel Surpasses 10 Million Downloads
Japan’s Video Editing App Mixchannel, announced yesterday that the app surpassed the 10 million download mark. The app is developed by one of Japan’s leading mobile development companies named Donuts. The app is currently only available for the iOS platform and was released back in December. With strong marketing and viral growth, it recently surpassed 10 million downloads. Mixchannel added an English version not too long ago.
Mixchannel is a video sharing and editing app. It is quite similar to the app Vine, except Mixchannel allows you to create a 10 second video instead of the 6-7 second videos. What’s extremely unique about Mixchannel is its ability to add custom audio after you have recorded the video. That way you can make quick movies out of it professionally. The audio will be much better as well, especially if you have an external mic of some sort.
Another excellent feature is its ability to crop and change the videos as apart of the editing phrase. You can add in effects or cut out parts that you do not want. Since this is a video sharing app, you can share the video with your friends and family over on social networks after you finish editing it.
Within the app you can also add pictures and other short videos of you and your friends. All you have to do is cut it and edit it properly. In a way this is similar to Instagram as well, people can favorite your video on their feed or comment on it. They can also retweet it to their Twitter or share it with their friends as well.
Aside from that, if you are an android user and would like to try out this app you can download the lite android version. The lite version is only available in Japanese, but the full English Android version will be releasing soon. There is also a web version available that you can check out directly on their site.
